PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

TOO MUCH TIME

Too much time for thinking,
And spending money drinking.
Too much time for putting off,
What must be done today.
Too much time for playing,
Not enough time praying.
Too much time for foolin’ round.
Time’s getting in my way.

I should have been takin’ time
 To get a closer look,
At what it means to help myself
 Without my getting hurt.
But too much time for too long now,
I’ve lost my way again,
I shouldn’t look the other way
When time comes marching in.

Yesterday, I had a life,
And life was really dull,
I went to looking for somethin’,
And really lost myself.
Now I have to start again,
To find somewhere to be,
'Cause time is running out,
It’s running out on me.
